I have a fortune taped to my laptop. It says: "You find beauty in ordinary things. Do not lose this ability."

Ordinary things... like oatmeal with raisins and cinnamon at the office after a hard morning run, or an interesting conversation with a good friend, or a tight hug from my favorite 9 year old... All beautiful things that one may very well take for granted.

I want to seize each moment, cherish the ordinary, and live an extraordinary life. Then I can die satisfied that no time was wasted taking ordinary things for granted.
